New Maruti Alto 800 launched, check out specifications and price



New Maruti Alto 800: First Look
The petrol variant of the new Alto has been priced at Rs 2.44 lakh and would go up to Rs 2.99 lakh and promises a fuel efficiency of 22.74 kmpl.
  
While, the CNG variant has been priced at Rs 3.19 lakh to Rs 3.56 lakh with a fuel efficiency of 30.46 km/kg.
  
"We have started the booking for this new Alto since late September and before the launch we have received over 10,000 bookings," Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director and CEO Shinzo Nakanishi told reporters here in the National Capital.
  
Nakanishi further said that : "Around 200 engineers from Suzuki Motor Corporation and Maruti Suzuki were jointly involved in development of this vehicle for over four years".
  
The Alto was first launched in September 2000 and has registered sales of over 2 million units so far.
  
The price of the existing alto (petrol) ranges between Rs 2.49 and 3 lakh while the CNG variant is priced in the range of Rs 2.97 to RS 3.48 lakh.

As the South Korean small car manufacturer Hyundai has captured a big portion of Indian market in entry level car after launching Hyundai Eon, it was become quite obvious for India’s biggest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki to respond.

Not only respond but respond in a style to give the competition in the small car market. Dubbed as the common man’s car (Aam Aadmi ki Car), Maruti Suzuki has come out with all New Maruti Alto 800.

New Maruti Alto 800 will have direct fight with Hyundai’s Eon and Tata Nano in the entry level car segment.

Maruti has made evolutionary changes to launch their hit car Alto in a fresh look. The outgoing best selling car in India, Alto and Alto K10, has been given complete overhaul after 11 years.

Experts believe that new Maruti Alto 800 will be proved winner for the company in the Indian market.
New Maruti Alto 800 Specifications:

The New Maruti Alto will be available in six variants. There will be three models in CNG and as many as in petrol.

Mileage: Company has been claiming that Petrol model of Maruti Alto 800 will produce approximately 23 km/ltr while the mileage of CNG model stands at 31km/ltr.

Interior: The New Maruti Alto sports latest fashionable and trendy interiors. It has given sporty look with spacey headroom and legroom.

The New Maruti Alto 800 will be available in six variants.

New Maruti Alto 800 price:


Petrol version of Maruti Alto 800 is expected to be priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh. For CNG version, the price of Maruti Alto 800 is between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh.
